Sending Emails

Email is the #1 preferred method of communication for nearly ALL journalists, and in seconds you can connect with real journalists recommended by OnePitch to provide that personal touch.

If you're wondering where you can send emails from, take a look at the following page:

  • Pitch Scores
  • Search
  • Similar Journalists
  • Lists
  • Emails (for follow-ups)

Either check the box to the left the journalist's name or hover your mouse over the row and click on the mail icon on the right side of the page.

Easily convert your pitches into an email and schedule them to journalists on a day and time of your choosing on OnePitch, and you can choose to send up to 50 emails to journalists at a time while also being able to personalize and customize each message.

Sending Email Follow-Ups

You may not know but a subtle nudge can usually make all the difference. Reminding journalists about your pitch can mean the difference between a response or crickets.

As a good rule of thumb, if you are sending a follow-up you should always wait at least 48 hours after your first message before contacting the journalist again. Some examples of follow-up emails include:

  • Nudge due to timeliness
  • Revisiting a past conversation
  • A new development or breakthrough

When you're ready to send a follow-up you can head to the Emails page or wait for our reminder 🙂
