10 Tech Gadgets We Are Most Thankful For

The holidays always remind us to reflect on what we’re most thankful for. Whether it’s good health, a loving family and friends, or your most favorite tech gadget there’s no shortage of things you can list. Here’s a list of 10 tech gadgets we are most thankful for not just during the holidays but year-round.

From Apple products to essential oils, the following tech gadgets could end up being on your Christmas list:

Jered Martin, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer

Apple Watch – Series 4

My apple watch is essentially part of me now. I use it to track my exercise for the day, easily reference messages, or take calls on the go and check the surf report. Bonus: I can walkie talkie my friends and get a pulse check on our plans for the day or night. I’m most thankful for my watch because it helps me stick to my routine and allows me to stay on track throughout the day easily.

Google Home

Although our Google Home is a shared device (my roommate and I both use it around the apartment), it’s by far one of the most frequently used items in the apartment. My favorite part is asking to check the weather or playing my favorite tune (hint: Mariah Carey, Fantasy) to start the day. The simplicity, and intelligence, of Google Home, are what make it one of my favorite devices and, by far, why I’m most thankful for it.

Nomodo Wireless Qi-Certified Fast Charger with Mug Warmer/Drink Cooler

Being that I am a big coffee drinker, I am grateful for this mug warmer by Nomodo that keeps my morning cup of joe hot! I love being able to wake up, make coffee, put on music, and get dressed, but there is nothing worse than my coffee getting cold. This nifty gadget eliminates this issue and keeps my coffee warm all the way up until the time I leave, which is especially nice for our chilly mornings by the beach. Did I mention that it can also charge your phone AND keep cold drinks chilled? BONUS x2.

Saje Aroma Om Deluxe White Diffuser

With everything starting to gear up for the holidays and the end of the year, life can get a bit stressful. I am a huge proponent of essential oils to calm this, and the diffusers from Saje have always been my go-to. This one is one of my absolute favorites. It has three timer settings and will automatically shut off; it has two different diffusion settings and LED lights for nighttime. It is also fantastic for bringing a little bit of moisture back into the air (Santa Ana winds have us struggling in SD!). This definitely has the Kendall stamp of approval, and I highly recommend it for everyone!

Heart Rate Monitor Watch & Chest Strap

I am thankful for this technology because it puts data behind my workouts. I was an athlete in college, and this device was essential to making sure I was performing within the range I was supposed to. After college, I have continued to use it to keep myself accountable. I know exactly what my heart rate is, how many calories I am burning, and the active time of the workouts. Perfect for the long runs I like to take!

I am most thankful for my Airpods because, before having them, I never truly understood how freeing not having ANY wires at all was. Especially on those long runs, I mentioned before. It makes music even more apart of my day, and for that, I am SO THANKFUL. And of course, Apple just released the new Airpods Pros right as I got new ones. I might need to go shopping again…

LIFX Mini Color Light

This is a gadget that is often overlooked due to how often we turn our lights on/off manually. I wanted something more accessible where I can turn all of my bedroom lights on/off, depending on the time of day. You can also adjust the setting to wake you up at a particular hour or dim the lights for bedtime. There’s a fun feature that changes the color of the light, depending on the mood you’re in, which I really enjoy. The rainbow color option can also match the beat of your music, as well. The best part is that it’s all controlled by an app on your iPhone through wifi! You can even tell Siri to turn the adjust the light preference.

iPad Mini

As someone who was never a frequent iPad user, I was really impressed by the convenience and size of this iPad. I didn’t want something that took up too much space and also was able to fit into a small bag on the go. This iPad is perfect for travel, which I have used quite frequently. It’s also pretty light, so it just feels like an iPhone in my bag versus the heavyweight of an iPad. I highly recommend this!

Heating Pad

After my knee injuries, this heating pad helped with relieving pain and allowed for different levels of heat, depending on the swelling. The connected LCD controller is easy to use and effective for healing. It can also be used to warm yourself on cold winter days, which is a plus!

Headset Waterproof Wireless Bluetooth Headset

These headphones are best for being able to work out without the burden of a wire that could either break or take the headphones off your head. The sound quality is superb, and it almost seems as if it cancels sound. Also, it looks chicer than a pair of wired headphones.
